“Beginning Drawing Class” The facilitator of the class, Lee Edge, will focus on the basics of drawing including perspective (creating a 3-D effect on a flat surface), line and contour drawing, value drawing (drawing in gray shades from black to white) to further increase a 3-D quality in a drawing, as well as measuring techniques which are used by artists to verify proportion. Value drawings will be rendered in charcoal and pencil. Subject matter will include still-life and personal photo references. All work produced in the class will be original, not copied. “Continued Drawing Classes” Media and subject matter are diverse in this class since students of various levels of experience are welcome, and instruction is individualized. Students and teacher, Lee Edge, will determine goals. One focus of the class, however, will be an introduction to Plein Air drawing and field trips will be planned, weather permitting. A partial listing of the media is: pen and ink, charcoal, color pencil; pastel. All class products will be original, not copied. Lee requests that a deposit of $50 be sent to her to hold your spot. Deposit checks will not be cashed until after the first class meeting, at which time the balance of the fee is due. If the class does not make,, your deposit will be returned.
