Mary Lee  taught art in the Michigan Public School system for 15 years, and has been painting in watercolors for over 35 years. She has been teaching adults in Rarity Bay and Tellico Village for 5 years.
Beginner/Intermediate Watercolor class will be appropriate for the beginner who has never painted, as well as the art student who has accomplished the basics and beyond. Individual attention and demonstrations will be given to acquaint the student with the art of watercolor. Emphasis will be placed on step by step progress, "gentle critiques" and the fun of learning new techniques. Your check to Mary Lee Wilkinson, 126 Chota Shores Way, will reserve your place in the class.  For more information and materials list, please contact Mary  Lee at mlart@charter.net or
458-1179.

Lee Edge’s credentials include art education in public schools throughout the U S for more than 30 years.and has received numerous awards.

“Beginning Drawing Class”  The facilitator of the class, Lee Edge, will focus on the basics of drawing including perspective (creating a 3-D effect on a flat surface), line and contour drawing, value drawing (drawing in gray shades from black to white) to further increase a 3-D quality in a drawing, as well as measuring techniques which are used by artists to verify proportion.  Value drawings will be rendered in charcoal and pencil.  Subject matter will include still-life and personal photo references.  All work produced in the class will be original, not copied.

“Continued Drawing Classes”  Media and subject matter are diverse in this class since students of various levels of experience are welcome, and instruction is individualized.  Students and teacher, Lee Edge, will determine goals.  One focus of the class, however, will be an introduction to Plein Air drawing and field trips will be planned, weather permitting.  A partial listing of the media is:  pen and ink, charcoal, color pencil; pastel.  All class products will be original, not copied.

Lee requests that a deposit of $50 be sent to her to hold your spot.  Deposit checks will not be cashed until after the first class meeting, at which time the balance of the fee is due.  If the class does not make,, your deposit will be returned.  For further information, contact Lee at 458-3118 or 660-9034.  Send deposits to Lee at 275 Dudala Way, Loudon, TN.  Supply lists will follow receipt of the deposit.
